How We Support You in Your Long-Term Job Search

We get to know you

Every candidate is unique, with special skills and job search goals. For this reason we take the time to meet with you in person so that we correctly identify your ideal job match.

We create an SPN resume

We create a custom resume highlighting your strengths, relevant experience, and unique skills.

We present you with jobs

As new job opportunities arise, you will be contacted about the jobs that match your desired parameters. We present your resume to each family and encourage them to meet you personally.

We coordinate interviews & working trial

We arrange interviews at a mutually convenient time. We will set up a paid working trial upon request as a final step in the matching process. This 1-5 day trial is crucial in determining we have found the best fit for you and the family.

We assist with contract negotiations

When a family presents you with a job offer, we work with both parties to create a custom employment agreement to ensure that your working relationship gets off to the best start.

We ensure that the offer includes legal pay at fair market rates, overtime, paid time off, and other standard benefits. Healthcare reimbursement is encouraged.

We provide you with support after placement

We are here to help you get settled in, offer support, and help with any issues that may arise in the future.

Parents rely upon our temporary services for a variety of situations, including: date nights, school breaks and holidays, when children are sick, as backup for their regular childcare provider, or weekends away.

Assignments range in length from 4 hours to several months and pay $22 per hour.

There are numerous occasions when temporary work is the right choice for nannies, including:

  • While you are in a long-term job search
  • When you need to fill in hours around your current work/school schedule
  • While your current nanny employer is on vacation
  • If you are unable to or prefer not to make a year commitment to a specific schedule

Benefits to working in SPN’s temporary childcare program:

  • We get to know you and your preferences to bring you only the jobs that fit your availability and location
  • Temporary work is a great way to establish additional references through Stanford Park Nannies
  • If you are in a long-term job search, history with our agency proves impressive to families
  • When a family is also seeking a long-term nanny, filling their temporary needs is a great way for the family to get to know you and potentially see you as a long-term fit

We also assist Newborn Care Specialists in their job search. A Newborn Care Specialist (also commonly referred to as a baby nurse, night nurse, or night nanny) fills a very special role in the home, providing expert newborn care during the precious first weeks or months of a baby’s life. Most Newborn Care Specialists work at night; some even work 24-hour shifts to give new parents the rest that they need!
