Job #33862
Location: Woodside
Full Time

This family is seeking a nanny to care for their 3-year-old daughter and their 12-month-old son. Both parents work from the home, but are in-and-out often with their busy schedules. This role is 40% nanny duties and 60% child-related personal assistant duties. The family employs another nanny who will share the childcare responsibilities. The schedule is flexible, Monday – Friday 40 to 45 hours per week.

Personal assistant duties may include:

– Research and source children’s activities

– Be a liaison with schools

– Follow up with medical records and doctor recommendations

– Stock items and manage returns

– Refilling and purchasing food items

– Organizing the children’s things

– Restocking and labeling medications

– Run errands

– Children’s food prep

Their 3-year-old daughter is outgoing, energetic, articulate, and loves to read! Their 12-month-old son is a happy boy who takes two naps a day. Most of the time, the nanny will only be with one child at a time, as mom would like to have “mommy time” one on one. Childcare duties are typical, and the family would appreciate stocking diapers, supplies, and light cleaning of the children’s areas during naptime. The family also has an indoor cat that is cared for by the housekeeper and would not be the responsibility of the nanny.

Ideal attributes are professional, warm, kind person with a “pitch in” attitude and flexibility to work with mom who is very hands-on. The candidate also needs to be professional and respect that they are a private family. Their home is a formal, but comfortable, one level, large home on a lovely property with a pool and a barn set up for art projects. Must be a proficient swimmer, computer literate, a good communicator, and an efficient time manager. A bachelor’s degree is required. Must be comfortable with children’s equipment (car seats, strollers, etc.) Required to travel up to several weeks at a time, 6+ times per year, both domestic and international.

Their staff wears black pants and collared shirts. While it is not a required uniform, they ask you to dress appropriately. (E.g. Please wear tennis shoes and not flip flops, no shorts or anything too revealing) Please bring your own snacks and meals and you will be provided breaks that you take in their carriage house on the property.
