Nanny/Educator for 4 & 7 year-old boys In Hillsborough

Friendly and busy Hillsborough family with four boys, ages 4, 8, 13, and 14, is seeking a Nanny/Educator for after-school hours. The primary focus will be caring for the two younger children, ages 7 and 4. The 7-year-old is in second grade at Nueva. The older children, ages 13 and 14, may occasionally need assistance as well, but this is optional; the younger two will take priority.
This is not a catch-up tutoring role. The children learn quickly, and the 7-year-old is ahead of his peers. The family is looking for someone who can recognize a child’s interests and build meaningful learning experiences around them, going deeper rather than following a set curriculum.
The family has a cook and a live-in housekeeper. Due to severe allergies, the household is entirely gluten- and dairy-free.
The role involves turning the children’s everyday interests—currently soccer, basketball, and building things from scratch—into experiments, models, artwork, and investigations. The nanny should be able to adapt the same project so that both the 7-year-old and 4-year-old can participate at their own level. The ideal candidate will work within the household rules and learning goals established by the parents and provide brief updates on the children’s progress. The family is seeking someone who is warm yet structured, reliable, and interested in a long-term position.
Schedule: Monday - Saturday 3 pm - 7 pm ( Saturday is optional, 30 hours per week guaranteed)
Pay: $47–$50/hr, DOE and education. A family car will be provided for school pickup.
