Description

A down-to-earth Menlo Park family is looking for a Family Assistant/Nanny to help support their children and household so things run smoothly. Dad is an engineer, and Mom works for Apple; both work from home two days per week.

The family has two children, ages 10 and 6. Their daughter is entering 5th grade and enjoys crochet, writing stories, swimming, reading, and making things. She is caring and empathetic, and when she is struggling with a problem, she responds well to reassurance and working through solutions together.

The younger son is entering 1st grade and enjoys dancing, biking, singing, building things, and imaginative play.

SPN placed their current Family Assistant with the family, and they have a wonderful working relationship. The family is looking for someone who can build a trusting, long-term relationship with their household.

Responsibilities before pick-up (12 PM–3 PM) include:

  • Shopping and errands
  • Family laundry
  • Dishes
  • Light cleaning
  • Meal prep (Dad cooks dinner)
  • Watering plants
  • Taking out recycling
  • Organizational projects

Optional opportunity for full days when school is out and when the children are homesick.

Compensation: $35–$40/hour + mileage reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.

Hours: 12 pm - 6 pm

“I would like to thank the whole team at SPN for all you guys do. In this midst of the heartbreak and hardships the COVID-19 crisis has imposed on our neighbors, our families, and our friends, I am also inspired and deeply moved by the compassion, resiliency, and the human spirit of the  SPN team. Thank you for being there with us. We are here for you.”

"I would rate Stanford Park Nannies very highly! They provide a great flow of very qualified candidates, who are all prepared to pay taxes. They have a great vetting process and did not waste our time with those that weren’t a fit. In addition to our full-time search, they had the ability to quickly identify relevant interim/temp nannies as well!"

"SPN is a powerhouse agency of incredible women who embody experience, passion, and a heart for service!"
