Dear doting sweetheart of my childhood,
Companion of my austere fate!

Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) was born in Moscow, Russia. Pushkin is one of the most important contributors to modern Russian literature. He devoted some of his best work to his nanny who took care of him in his childhood and remained close with him throughout his lifetime.
