Caregiver for Teenage Autistic Twins in Sunnyvale
Description
The Sunnyvale family is seeking a highly collaborative and relational caregiver for their 16-year-old autistic twin sons. Both boys are sweet and physically independent. The family plans on working together with the caregiver to help their boys continue to develop independence and support them with meaningful experiences. Mom and Dad hope to find someone who has a heart for special needs children and would like a long-term job. No experience is needed, just an openness to learning. The family participates in Christian counseling one time per week in person and RDI therapy once per week on Zoom. Parents and caregivers attend a once-per-week session with Dr. Jessica Hobson to learn how to better help the twins grow. They are currently in school, have a few friends, and hold down two jobs. Typical schedule: 2 pm - 7 pm.
Compensation: $40 - 45/hr, DOE
One time per year, possibly working with the family at an orphanage in Mexico, but this is not required.
