Description
San Jose-based (Willow Glen) family seeking a part-time nanny for their 7-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate will have infant experience, a calm and patient demeanor, creativity in age-appropriate play and engagement, and a love of outdoor time including walks and trips to the park and library. Duties include supervising her throughout her day—helping her settle for three naps and a bedtime (naps typically last 40 minutes to 1.5 hours), providing attentive, developmentally appropriate interaction, taking her out to local activities, preparing baby food during naps, light cleaning after the child’s meals, caring for the child’s laundry and organizing her room. The baby has mild eczema managed with a topical cream; the nanny should follow care instructions. The family has three indoor-only cats; the parents will be present at home at times (dad often working from the dining room/office; mom planning to be home or running errands within the next month).
Compensation is $40/hour. Schedule options are 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or two to three full days per week, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
