Engaging Nanny for 11 month old in San Jose
Description
This San Jose family seeks an engaging, attentive nanny for their 11-month-old daughter, who takes two daytime naps (about 11:00–12:00 and 1:00–2:00, with a short rest around 3:30–4:30 PM). The ideal candidate speaks strong English, prepares baby meals efficiently, and takes initiative to organize creative activities—stories, gestures, books, and age-appropriate play—to support the child’s cognitive and language development. The nanny should be genuinely invested in the baby’s physical milestones (crawling, standing, walking, and active play), regularly take her to nearby parks and library events, and be receptive to feedback and flexible to accommodate the family’s needs. Additional duties include the child’s laundry, washing baby dishes, and keeping her room organized. The family had a warm relationship with their previous part-time nanny, who is leaving to care for her own children.
Standard PTO is 15 days per year.
Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 8:00 AM–3:00 PM on Fridays.
Pay: $36–$38/hour, DOE
