Family Assistant Needed for Warm Palo Alto Family
Description
A Palo Alto family is seeking a full-time Family Assistant to support their household and two boys. The parents are both busy professionals, and the Family Assistant will help with daily household tasks and share driving responsibilities for after-school activities and appointments.
The boys are both swimmers and have practices 2–4 times per week at Greene Middle School, often at different times. One child is 8 years old and enjoys spending time at Johnson Park, which is a few blocks from home. He is very social and has many friends in the neighborhood. The older child is 11 years old and is neurodivergent with high-functioning autism. He does not require special support, but the family would love someone who is understanding, patient, and comfortable supporting a neurodiverse child. He also has a nut allergy.
Both boys enjoy Legos, stuffed animals, and music.
Family Assistant responsibilities (approximately 10:00 AM–1:00/2:00 PM) include:
- Laundry
- Dishes
- Household organization
- Keeping track of groceries and household supplies needed
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Grocery shopping
- Occasional errands
- Helping with school/activity transportation as needed
The family lives in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, two-story home and is looking for someone dependable who can become a trusted part of their household and build a strong rapport with their children.
Compensation: $38–$42/hour + gas reimbursement
Hours: 10 am - 6 pm
