Active Engaging Nanny for a Family in Los Altos Hills

A warm and welcoming Los Altos Hills family is seeking a professional nanny for an ideally long-term position caring for their newborn daughter, who is due in mid-November. The nanny will work as part of a team alongside the family’s existing nanny, who primarily cares for the older child. The position will focus on caring for the baby while occasionally assisting with the family’s two-year-old.

The ideal candidate will be engaging, enthusiastic, kind, and responsible, with a genuine interest in building a lasting relationship with the family. The parents value open and respectful communication, as well as a nanny who is physically engaged with the children and enjoys providing attentive, hands-on care.

Responsibilities will include following the baby’s daily routine, supporting developmental milestones, preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children, and helping maintain a nurturing and organized environment. As the baby grows, the nanny will be encouraged to take her to parks, attend age-appropriate activities, and plan enriching outings in the community.

The nanny may also occasionally assist with the two-year-old, including engaging in play and helping with activities or transitions as needed. The family is planning to adopt a dog in the future, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a home with a dog.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, either 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Additional flexibility: Occasional date-night coverage may be requested.

Compensation: $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
