Family Assistant for a Single Parent with an 8-year-old Son
Description
A Menlo Park family is seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic part-time nanny to care for their very active and sweet eight-year-old son. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The nanny’s primary responsibilities will include picking the child up from school in Palo Alto, providing lunch and snacks, and transporting him to sports practices and other after-school activities. The family can provide a vehicle for school pickups and transportation.
Additional responsibilities will include helping with homework, preparing snacks and simple dinners for the child, doing his laundry, grocery shopping, and assisting with light household cleaning, organization, and general upkeep.
The mother is a single parent and works late approximately three to four evenings per month. She may occasionally request additional evening hours when the nanny is available.
During the summer, the child attends camps, so the nanny will be needed on a significantly reduced part-time schedule. However, the family will continue to guarantee and pay for the regular scheduled hours.
The compensation for this position is $40 per hour. Benefits: PTO 10 days a year, and paid vacations.
