Family Assistant & Trusted Driver for San Francisco Family

This friendly, down-to-earth family is looking for a reliable, organized, and flexible Family Assistant to help keep their busy household running smoothly. The family previously employed a full-time nanny when their younger daughter was a baby and toddler and had a wonderful experience, followed by part-time nanny help. Now that their daughters are preteens and teenagers with busy school and sports schedules, they are looking for a trusted Family Assistant.

Their younger daughter is sweet and social and has ADHD, so the family would appreciate someone who can help her stay focused on personal tasks. The family has a Manchester terrier who may need some time to warm up to a new person. Mom is self-employed and works from home, typically in her bedroom or office, while Dad works long hours and travels frequently for business.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving the older daughter to swim practices in San Jose 2–3 times per week (family car provided)
• Managing laundry, dishes, light cleaning, and general household tidying
• Grocery shopping and occasional errands, including grocery pickups and trips to the car wash
• Helping the younger daughter stay focused and on track with personal tasks
• Using time during swim practice to run errands or take care of personal needs while waiting for practice to finish

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, patient, and adaptable, with a safe driving record. The family is looking for someone who takes initiative, manages household tasks independently, and provides a supportive presence for their daughters.

Home details: The family lives in a modern, three-level home with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The kitchen, living, and dining areas are on the first floor, all three bedrooms are on the top floor, and there is an office/TV room on the lower level. Parking is available on a steep driveway.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 2 days per week: 12:00–7:00 p.m.
• 3 days per week: 2:30–9:30 p.m.

Transportation: A family car is provided for driving responsibilities.

Pay: $45/hr, Payroll. 35 hours per week guaranteed. PTO, 5 days of vacation, 6 days of sick leave. 9 paid holidays.
