Family Assistant & Trusted Driver for San Francisco Family
Description
This friendly, down-to-earth family used to employ a full-time nanny when their younger daughter was a baby and toddler, and had a wonderful experience. They had part-time nannies for a while as well. In the meantime, as their children are preteens and teenagers, busy with school and sports, the family needs a trusted Family Assistant. Duties: Laundry, Dishes, light cleaning, and shopping. One important aspect of this role is driving their older daughter to swim practices in San Jose, 2 to 3 times per week. Car Provided. At times, run some errands in SJ: picking up groceries, going to the car wash, etc ... while waiting for the practice to be over or simply apply that time for their own needs.
The family has a dog, a Manchester terrier, who needs time to warm up to a new person. Younger daughter is a sweet and social, she has ADHD, and the family assistant is expected to help her stay focused on personal tasks. Mom is self-employed and works at home, typically in her bedroom or the office. Father works a lot and travels often for business.
The family lives in a 3-bedroom home with 3.5 bathrooms. It is spread over three levels. The kitchen, living, and dining areas are on the first floor. All three bedrooms are on the top floor, and there is an office/TV room room on the lower floor. It is a modern house. Parking is on a steep driveway. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2 days a week, 12-7pm, 3 days a week, 2:30-9:30pm.
Pay: $45/hr, Payroll. 35 hours per week guaranteed. PTO, 5 days of vacation, 6 days of sick leave. 9 paid holidays.
